About MAP

MAP Working Gundogs was founded by a group of friends due to the continuing request for obedient gundogs who can both trial and work in the field. Predominately for gundog breeds, but catering for others also,  based on Merseyside. We have several training locations through out the region. With experienced dog handler instruction we can assist you with your dog’s inconsistencies.
Also we have recently secured an area in St.Johns Dalry, Scotland with residential dog training facilities to assist in bringing young dogs "on" that little bit further. ( please contact Gary for further information)

Map working gundogs has been established since 2005 and our experienced handlers can offer one to one tuition as well as group training of individual breeds, group 'mock trial’ complete with dummy shots, beaters etc, to create the real environment for your dog.

We can also offer good ‘scent’ ground for training to get your "young" dog keen, as well as occasional beating and picking up for the more experienced handlers.

During our time we have trained various breeds for the field, security work and as pets, MAP Working Gundogs are registered suppliers of Specialist Breeds for Police work, this is when we have a young dog that is not suitable for field work but is more than capable for work with the Police as a specialist dog for detecting drugs, explosives, ammunition or even body parts.
