We hope you had a successful shooting season in 2009/10 we certainly have.
We have had several extremely enjoyable trips to Scotland where Andrew and his team from Casesport.com provided fantastic and very challenging sporting birds from the many Estates he deals with. Gary, Derek, Ian, Neil and Mel all made the trip to Scotland in September 2009 for a Field trail Training day,our host Drew thought it quite funny because after the first drive which was about 2 hours we all felt we had been on an SAS assault course!!! it certainly paid off though, Neil is now the proud owner of a FTW (Field Trial Winner) and also had a Guns Choice, a fantastic achievement. Ian also has a FTW taking 1st place at a trial just outside Southport. Gary and Derek also had two runs this year, Gary was unlucky getting to the last three dogs in a trial in Wales and Derek was also unlucky competing in Wales and Shropshire. Mark Hampton in his first ever trial got to the last 5 dogs in Checkley, Shropshire.We also enjoyed a wonderful simulated McNab weekend were competitors from all corners of the country took part in landing a trout, shooting simulated game and took aim with rifle again. to test our skills and a wonderful weekend was had by all. The accommodation and food provided by Dave and his team at the Ken Bridge Hotel on the shores of Loch Ken was as usual fantastic.
Ian, Gary, Derek,Neil, Mel and Mark have been very busy picking up on Estates all over the North West and we all have been bringing on new dogs which has been very enjoyable. We are all looking forward to the new training season which has you probably know has already started in earnest for many of us. Ian has a very exciting new venture of his own, he is now training all breeds of dogs with behavioural problems at there handlers homes. MAP has also decided that with the success of our gundog training we are now able to offer similar training for obedience classes to cater for all breeds and have organised classes at all our training locations.
